Do you charge a call-out fee?
No. For repairs we come out, diagnose the fault and give you a fixed price before carrying out any work — there is no call-out charge and no obligation to proceed. You only pay once you have approved the price.
Can you repair my boiler the same day?
In most cases, yes. Our vans carry a stock of common spare parts so many faults are fixed on the first visit. If you call before midday we will do everything we can to reach you the same working day.
Should I repair or replace my boiler?
It depends on the age, efficiency and reliability of your boiler. As a rule of thumb, if your boiler is over 10 years old and the repair cost is significant, a new A-rated boiler often pays for itself in energy savings. We give honest advice with no hard sell — sometimes a simple repair is all you need.
What does Gas Safe registered mean?
Gas Safe Register is the official list of engineers legally allowed to work on gas appliances in the UK. By law, anyone fitting, repairing or servicing a gas boiler must be Gas Safe registered. Every Ashcroft engineer is registered, and you can check our registration number on the Gas Safe Register website at any time.
